Burrtec operates and manages many landfills throughout Southern California.  A landfill is a carefully designed structure built into or on top of the ground in which trash is isolated from the surrounding environment (groundwater, air, rain).  This isolation is accomplished with a bottom liner and daily covering of soil.

Transfer Station

A transfer station is an approved facility for accepting commercial, residential, and industrial waste from internal and external clients. Transfer stations serve as a local collection point to the final disposal site. Our transfer stations are not just a place where waste is disposed, but are an important and fundamental part of effective waste management.
