Background
Burrtec
Waste Industries, Inc., its sister company EDCO Disposal Corporation and other
Burrtec affiliated companies collectively make up the largest privately held
solid waste management organization in the State of California.
Originally started by the Burr family in 1955, the Company is still owned
and operated by the Burrs'.
Growth
We strive to enhance operations through the introduction of modernized fleets and technology, management support, and most importantly our people. Our growth is always focused on expanding the scope of services we offer to our communities. As we grow, whether by acquisition or by internal growth, we seek to constantly enhance our level of customer service by providing services that match the needs of a community while maintaining the utmost in professionalism and care to our customers.
Customers
Our customers range from individual residential subscribers to municipal agencies in addition to industrial and commercial accounts, contracts with homeowners associations and apartment owners. We can best serve our customers and provide the most cost-effective solution through having an integrated company with collection, recycling, transfer and disposal services.
Technology
All of our locations are linked with one another and to the corporate offices via a wide area network that allows real time communication for exchanging financial, customer service and internal data. The company employs a “Waste Disposal Management System” that encompasses customer service, dispatch, routing, scale house, and accounting functions that are all seamlessly integrated. Real-time changes can be made in the system and are immediately communicated through the appropriate departments via automation. The company also seeks to implement and utilize automated equipment when appropriate and cost effective for our customers.
